Today was very grey and misty and both Dave and I were short on inspiration. In order to give ourselves some time to think, we headed to Braddan old church to see the snowdrops
We then headed up to Douglas Head to eat our lunch and decide what to do next. When we first arrived, we could see across Douglas but, as we ate our lunch the fog gradually came down obscuring the view. Undeterred, we decided on a walk to the lighthouse
As the rain was getting more persistent and the fog worse, we headed back over the mountain, stopping at Guthries for a picture on the way
Each Saturday I go out walking around the Isle of Man with my friend Dave. We take pictures as we walk - sometimes more pictures than walking! Though Dave is older than me, he is usually in front, especially when climbing hills, something he enjoys a lot more than me. I also go out with the camera on Sunday's (with my husband, Chris) or any other time I'm not working, trying to capture different views of the island

This morning we started at Mooragh Park but unfortunately there was no sign of the Kingfisher so we went into Ballaugh Curraghs for a wander
We then retraced our tracks and walked down to Killabrega
As we headed back into Ramsey, we decided to try again for the Kingfisher but, to no avail.
We ate our lunch at Ballaugh Shore but decided against walking along the beach and instead headed up Druidale. First stop, MontpelierWe then retraced our tracks and walked down to Killabrega
As we headed back into Ramsey, we decided to try again for the Kingfisher but, to no avail.
Saturday 26th January 2013
This morning, Dave and I started our day at Glen Helen. As the path on one side is closed, we had to go up and down on the same side but a nice stroll nonetheless
We next headed south to Glen Maye. No chance of a pint as The Waterfall pub appears to be closed. There was quite a lot of wild garlic sprouting and spring flowers starting to come through.
We next went to Niarbyl and took a wind blown walk along the coastal path to the white beach
The rain started just as we arrived back at the car so we headed back home, via Peel for our first ice cream of the year
