Saturday 23rd March 2013

Though there was no snow outside my front window, the webcams and pictures on Facebook confirmed that there was a lot of it about. Dave and I initially headed up Glen Auldyn which was fairly sheltered from the wind.

Once we got beyond the tree line, the wind was strong and bitter so, we headed back to the car.

After lunch, we drove up to the hairpin then walked up the closed road. We walked across to the Albert Tower and back down through the woods.

On returning to the car, we drove to Port Lewaigue for some sea shots

Sunday 17th March 2013

Chris and I set off on our usual route this morning. The sun was shining but, it remained cold so there were brief forays out of the car to take pictures then back into the warm.

Saturday 16th March 2013

There haven't been any entries for a few weeks as Chris and I have been to Malaysia. It was quite a shock coming from 37 degrees to landing at Manchester and -1

There had been snow on the mountain so, Dave and I started our morning parked at Hibernia

We then drove onto the Mountain Road and up to the Bungalow

Our next stop was Groudle. We walked along to the cafe then back along the glen

Saturday 16th February 2013

We had heard that this weekend there was a special steam train that would be visiting various stations. Though we decided against the train journey, we decided to head to Castletown to get some pictures of it.

On arrival at Castletown station it seemed that the train was delayed. We took a few pictures around the station

We then decided to head back up north but, called at the station at Ballasalla on the way. The train pulled into the station shortly after we arrived but, did not stop. We managed a few pics but then went back to Castletown to get a few more.

We had read in the Courier that there was a ploughing match on so, we headed there next. On arrival it was very wet and muddy but we managed a few pictures of the horses and the characters both judging and taking part.

We then headed back up north to catch the rally stage through Ramsey.
