Today, Dave and I decided to head to Injebreck for some Autumn colour. We were hoping for a calm surface to the reservoir for reflections.
We walked up the lane towards the windswept trees - I think these are probably the most photographed trees on the island
We then headed out to Peel and walked along to the old swimming pool, followed by an obligatory ice cream before the rain forced us home.
Later on, following another rain shower, Chris called me to see a rainbow over the Queens Pier. A quick scrabble ensued to put a card in the camera (I was editing at the time), replace the battery and find suitable footwear before it disappeared.
Each Saturday I go out walking around the Isle of Man with my friend Dave. We take pictures as we walk - sometimes more pictures than walking! Though Dave is older than me, he is usually in front, especially when climbing hills, something he enjoys a lot more than me. I also go out with the camera on Sunday's (with my husband, Chris) or any other time I'm not working, trying to capture different views of the island

Sunday 20th October 2013
Another wet day. Chris and I started out on the stone piers in Ramsey. There were some nice beams of sunlight over Maughold Brooghs but, I wasn't happy with any of my shots.
We next went to Bride and I went into the church to play with the new lens
A visit to Ballaghennie and then the point didn't produce any useable images. We stopped briefly by the Grand Island before heading for home

Chris and I have got a new lens - it is the Canon 8-15mm fisheye so today I took it out and used it on some shots. The forecast was not great but, with plenty of rain the rivers were full. Dave and I started our day at Ballaglass
Next stop was Douglas Head for some lunch
A quick visit to the station for the steam train and then we headed to the Manx Museum to look at the Jeremy Paul exhibition

No walk yesterday as I was working so for today, a nice gentle stroll at the top of the Dhoon for fungi
Saturday 5th September 2013
As Dave had heard there was free entry to the island heritage sights, we decided that we would visit Peel Castle, something we had been talking about doing for some time. On arrival at Peel, we discovered there were certain sites/ activities that were free and entrance to the castle was not one of them but, despite the overcast day, we went in anyway
After lunch, we headed back to Ramsey (via the A.R.E motorcycle exhibition at Kirk Michael) and walked around Mooragh Park and towards the swing bridge.
