Today we started with a walk around Smeale
We next headed to the Point of Ayre, via the Millennium field at Bride
Each Saturday I go out walking around the Isle of Man with my friend Dave. We take pictures as we walk - sometimes more pictures than walking! Though Dave is older than me, he is usually in front, especially when climbing hills, something he enjoys a lot more than me. I also go out with the camera on Sunday's (with my husband, Chris) or any other time I'm not working, trying to capture different views of the island

Today Chris and I decided to use our macro lenses as the weather was warm with little wind. We went to Ballaghennie and then the Phurt
Saturday 23rd August 2014
Today Dave and I started our day at Smeale hoping to get some pictures of the waders. We managed a few shots of Sanderling and Turnstone but, they were very flighty
We next had a wander through Ballaglass though part of the path (and lower bridge) is closed due to fallen trees
We next went to Laxey where, following lunch, we walked over the far headland and onto the stone pier

Out with Bill today. We set off without any clear plan and found ourselves at Glen Helen. We set off down the glen but, were unable to walk as far as the waterfall as the path was closed
Next, we found a tunnel that lead to a quarry that Bill had heard about
We called into a ruin by Tynwald to see if we could get some pictures then had lunch in the gardens nearby
Our next stop was Greeba Mountain. Dave has been trying to get me to walk up here for some time. The views from the top were pretty good - even better because we drove up
Our final destination was the Salmon Centre in Laxey. It is currently hosting a photography exhibition which includes some pictures taken by Bill.
