Saturday 4th February 2012

Well, after a bright though cold week, this morning was just grey and very wet. Dave arrived and we decided to have a coffee before heading off - always a bad sign!

Following coffee, we went first to the Hodgson Loom Gallery in Laxey then headed to Douglas for a look at the Sayle Gallery. We then decided to head to Peel to see if it was any brighter or less wet.

Initially it looked quite promising but, we arrived in a wet and grey Peel and decided on a trip around the Leece Museum. We then returned to the car for lunch and to decide on what to do next. Eventually we decided to just get out of the car and take some pictures! The big lenses were left in the car, they wouldn't be needed today and we headed off around the streets of Peel.

Before long, we came across the TVR that is in Peel. Unfortunately, it had a cover on but, I did manage a shot of a headlight

We carried on, taking some shots around Peel and decided we need to return on a better day

After some time we returned to the car, a little damp and bedraggled and decided to head out to the Jurby Transport Museum as at least it was under cover. They have a good selection of vehicles, including a steam car

It was rather dark in the building, despite the electric light and not terribly good for photography. We decided to call it a day and headed to home to get warm and dry. Hopefully the weather will be better next week.
