Dave and I initially considered heading next to Port St Mary but, once we got onto the Mountain Road, it looked a little cloudy down south so we turned off to Sulby Reservoir instead. There is a walk you can do (apparently) from the reservoir, through to Druidale, along to Montpelier and back to the starting point. Both Dave and I have tried in the past to find the path from the Druidale end with no success so, we decided today we would try from this end
We crossed over the bridge but, could find no trace of the path over the other side. We decided to head back along the side of the reservoir and look the path up on Google earth when we got home.
On nearing the car park, we decided to head over to Druidale to see if we could catch any of this stage of the classic car rally that was on. When we got to the end of the farm road however, we found the stage had already ended
After some lunch, we headed down into Sulby valley and then into the Curraghs. We were lucky enough to see four Wallabies whilst walking around
On leaving the Curraghs, we headed for a walk along Ballaugh shore. The tide was out and the sun still shining

Well done on the Wallabies Keren.
ReplyDeleteAfter only glimpses for years I also got a close view last week. Are they getting tamer or are we just lucky?
I think we are just lucky - there are many times when we don't see any at all or, just hear them crashing through the bushes. nice when you do get to see them though!
