Saturday 10th November 2012

This week we started taking pictures before we had left Ramsey. When Dave had left home, he'd seen the beginnings of a rainbow which got stronger as he drove towards the prom

We decided to start our day with a walk through Ballaglass which was full of Autumn colour

We then headed up the road towards Cashtel yn Ard. We had to take shelter a couple of times from the rain and, on arriving at the monument were unable to get into the field as a combination of farm traffic and heavy rain had resulted in a quagmire!

We carried on down the road, across the stream and turned towards Cornaa. Our plan was to walk down to the sea then follow the footpath back to Ballaglass

After we arrived back at the car, we headed towards Maughold via the Quaker grave site and neolithic tomb at Ballafayle

We then headed to Maughold Head. We thought about getting nearer to the lighthouse for pictures but, the slope looked rather slippy

As we were losing the light and it looked as though more rain was on the way, we headed back to Ramsey, just in time to catch some sand racing
