Day off today and it dawned bright and cold again. Meeting a friend for coffee at 11 so, just time for a couple of early morning dew shots. Managed to ruin some by knocking the leaves with the tripod whilst setting up but, got a couple of shots
Later on, after washing and polishing the car, I decided to go out to Jurby to see if I could get some pictures of 'The Passages' at sunset. Low tide was around 3pm so, I figured it would leave me plenty of beach to walk back up once I'd finished taking pictures. I headed out along Jurby beach
Once I arrived at the wreck, I started looking to see what the best vantage point would be. I soon discovered it's not very easy to keep the horizon straight when the tripod legs are sinking (unevenly) into the sand. So, a couple of test shots before the sun starting going down
The sun soon started to sink below the horizon, sending the sky nice shades of pink, though I didn't get the red ball of a sun that was seen down South
As the sun disappeared, a bank of cloud began to roll across the sky with the threat of rain. I headed along the beach back towards the car. As I got to the outflow, there was still some pink remaining in part of the sky though the cloud bank had covered most of it.
Back to work tomorrow :-(
