Sunday 6th November

Another nice morning though cold. First stop Ramsey to see if there was any sign of the Kingfisher. We decided on a two pronged attack - I walked up from Market Square, Chris would walk down from the other end. The sun was shining on the water and all looked worthy of a picture with the swing bridge reflecting nicely in the water. I put my sausage roll on top of my rucksack whilst I changed lens - big mistake - I was surrounded by gulls and other birds starting coming towards me, looking for food and ruining my reflection shot!

We then headed up to the Garey and had a walk around. Unfortunately, though I spent some time near the ford, no cars went through.

With it being Sunday, we then headed up to the Point of Ayre

Thought this was a little bit different than the usual lighthouse shots.

I had a walk along the high tide line to see if anything interesting had been left by the waves. I found a jumper

a piece of pine tree with pine cone attached

and a brush head. Not a very exciting haul this week.

Day off tomorrow (due to working Saturday). Hoping the weather is nice or at least dry and not too windy

  1. Beautiful light today. I was busy down the boathouse but got some good piccies. Been in search of the Kingfisher for quite a while now and I'm pleased to say I spotted it last week....Sods law states I didn't have my camera with me at the time....Love your lighthouse shot. Funny thing is I've got a similar one. In fact I've got numerous taken last year. Looking at your photos I'd say we seem to look at things the same way and like to get a different view of things....
