Saturday 12th November

Got up to another miserable day but, the weather man had said it would brighten after 9am and, it did! Dave arrived and we decided to head to Injebreck, hoping for some autumn colours and reflections in the reservoir. As we approached the car park, we noticed metal fencing and a sign saying it was closed so, we parked on the roadside further down. We discovered the whole plantation was closed and is due to remain so until April next year due to a fungus that is killing trees.

We set off up the road in the hope of some colour - no reflections to be had as a breeze was disturbing the water.

We continued up the road, pausing for pictures along the way

until we got high enough to look back down the valley.

As we started to walk back down towards the car, the sun came out, lifting the colours on the hillside

As we walked alongside the reservoir, the sun remained out but unfortunately the breeze didn't drop.

As there were not that many trees with autumn colour, we decided to see if the colours were any better at the arboreteum

So, where next, as it was nearing lunchtime, we decided to head for Niarbyl where we could sit and have some lunch then head over the coastal path to the White Strand. As usual, Dave moaned about the supplied cakes but still managed to eat two!

The sun was shining across the sea and it was quite warm when we got out of the car

We headed off along the coastal path, taking the top one as there had been a landslide and the bottom path was impassable.
As we walked along the path, we found some fungus that hadn't yet died back

Soon, we started our descent to White Strand

We walked across the beach, and up the other side to look back towards Niarbyl

On our return to Niarbly, a family were on the beach - ideally placed for a picture
