Or these of the swing and stone bridges
As the tide was on it's way out, I got a few shots of the harbour and boats
I walked around to see if anything caught my eye for a picture
These links from a chain were all piled up but not joined together.
The masts of the yachts made strong shapes against the sky
These nuts and bolts were scattered across the floor - who knows how long they had been there
The paint layers on this boat showed a story of the many colours it has been, though now it is more rust than anything else.
These life rings had seen better days and probably wouldn't be of much use. We then headed to the seaward side of the harbour, parking opposite the swimming pool and walking around the area. These benches were all lined up against an old corrugated metal building.
I walked along the inner harbour and noticed a man going out to some boats - he was a splash of colour amongst the grey
As I headed back towards the car, I decided to walk along the harbour wall towards the lighthouse at the end.
I know, more deserted winter beaches but, I do like them, whether actually being on them, taking pictures of them or looking at them.
The sun was trying to break through the clouds but, not doing very well.
Finally, we headed to the Grand Island. The Goldeneye were once again off shore and a number of Black-headed Gulls on the beach
The GI is no longer with us but, the steps in the garden remain.
And so, we headed home into the warm for an afternoon of editing.
