I headed off into Ramsey. Nothing much to take pictures of so far. The tide was out so, the harbour was looking a bit miserable so, onto the beach.
I'd decided to walk along the beach to Ballure, up to the reservoir, along to the Albert Tower then down through the woods. The sun was shining and there were a few dog walkers on the beach
As I walked along the beach, I noticed there were some men digging for worms under the pier
There was quite a bit of water on the beach and the buildings and sky were reflecting in it
As I got to the pier, all was quiet. Different from recent weeks when the men have been working to make it safe
I carried on along the beach to the footpath just after The Fountains and headed off the beach.
As I headed up towards the reservoir, I noticed some a bush with some blackberries on it, I didn't expect to see any so late in the year
By the time I arrived at the reservoir, the sun had gone and, as there was no autumn colour left the whole area looked drab and grey, not very picturesque at all. There were however some winter berries
I carried on up the path towards the mountain road and the Albert Tower
I carried on towards the Albert Tower, going past the abandoned building. Wondering again why there were so many bath tubs in the yard
As I started down the path, there was a lot of obvious damage from the recent winds, including a tree down across the path
I came out near the hairpin after partially sliding (in places) down the muddy path and headed home

these photos are magicical, lovely, wish I'd been there instead of bed after a night duty.
ReplyDeleteLoved the monochrome Albert Tower. Almost as if floodlit.
